The National Private Truck Council is the national organization which represents the concerns and issues of companies who operate "in-house" private or dedicated truck fleets to support distribution of their products and services.

Members benefit from NPTC's work on a wide range of issues, including federal and state tax regulations, safety, and environmental issues. NPTC counsels agencies on regulatory and rulemaking proceedings and, when appropriate, participates in court cases.

NPTC also offers its members a wide range of valuable information and resources: the weekly email update, best practices safety program, annual benchmarking survey and Standards of Fleet Excellence, the CTP certification program, backhaul networking, educational and training programs, online learning courses, and much more!

The mission of the National Private Truck Council is to serve companies, organizations, and individuals operating trucks or managing trucking services in support of non-trucking business activities, and to be a leader in efforts that assure safe, productive, and efficient trucking operations.

The NPTC is organized into six (6) Divisions of membership, three for fleets and three for allied industry product and service suppliers:
