NPTC Promotes Mundell

Alexandria, VA – Gary Petty, President and CEO of the National Private Truck Council (NPTC), announced today that George H. Mundell III has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of the Council. NPTC, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, is a national trade organization of corporate motor truck fleets with over 600 members.
With over eighteen years of experience in trade association management, Mundell joined NPTC in July 1999 as a marketing specialist and was later named Vice President – Operations.
Mundell began his career at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) in l984 and served in various membership and marketing positions until l990 when he moved on to management positions at the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA), serving first as Director of Membership and Marketing, Director of Finance and Information Technology, and later Director of Operations and Technology. He also served as Section Staff Executive with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
A native of Washington, Mundell is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. His father, George H. Mundell, served for nearly thirty years as President of an ATA affiliated Conference.
